Author David Heska Wanbli Weiden - Winter Counts

Native American author David Heska Wanbli Weiden discusses his crime thriller, Winter Counts, a novel examining the broken criminal justice system on reservations and the identity issues confronted by Native Americans today. In the book, a Native American enforcer is obsessed with finding and stopping the dealer who is bringing dangerous drugs onto the reservation. 

Weiden, a member of the Sicangu Lakota nation, is an author, lawyer and professor in Colorado.
