Friends Program: Trevor Smith, Landscape Designer and Educator
“Regenerative Gardening in Today’s World”
Mr. Smith, an award-winning regenerative landscape designer, will discuss practices that climate change has brought to home gardening: planting native species to preserve biodiversity, combatting invasive species, building healthy soils, installing green infrastructure and managing water. He invites members of the audience to pose questions about their own gardens during the Q&A session that will follow the presentation.
Mr. Smith is the founder of ReEarth Solutions, a Boston-area ecological landscape design practice. He is passionate about the natural world which inspires his commitment to sustainable landscaping practices in an era of climate change. He is also passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience and is the host of the podcast “Peace, Love & Pollinators;” the live, online, “ask the expert” event Tuesdays with Trevor; and the Hive-Mind for Business Owners, a program of the Ecological Landscape Alliance.
This Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Needham Public Library. Registration is required.
