Hey Folks!  Are you a 6th, 7th or 8th Grader in the Needham area?  Are you looking to do something on a Half Day in April?  WELL, have we got something for you!

Why not join us In-person this month as we meet to WATCH and then discuss the ever popular Percy Jackson and the Olympians : The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.  At this months meeting, we'll be watching the 2010 film (rated PG) version of the book and then wrap up with some discussion afterwards to make some compare and contrast diagrams from the book!

Summary: "After learning that he is the son of a mortal woman and Poseidon, god of the sea, twelve-year-old Percy is sent to a summer camp for demigods like himself, and joins his new friends on a quest to prevent a war between the gods."

Books are available to request from Minuteman Network Libraries (https://find.minlib.net) with a valid library card in both physical and ebook/audiobook formats.  We will try to have copies available at the Adult Reference Desk on the 2nd floor as well.  If you require any assistance or have any questions, please email Erin at neeya@minlib.net.

Please note, that this is a book club for those who are in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  Although we love our younger and older library visitors, we're trying to keep it to these grades.  If there is enough interest in other grades wanting to participate, we'll look into starting and running other book clubs in the future :D
