2022/23 McIver Series: A Family Fiesta! with Verónica Robles and Friends
Join Verónica Robles and friends on a song and dance journey through Latin America in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. All are welcome. Let’s learn a few words in Spanish and sing along some favorite tunes. There will be plenty of room for dancing or clapping along!
Verónica Robles has performed at The Memorial Hatch Shell in Boston, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, and Needham’s own Fourth of July parade. Former Boston Mayor and current Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh honored Verónica with a mural of her image on Paris Street in East Boston. Most recently, Verónica was recognized as a Latinamerican cultural ambassador by the Red Sox. She was also acknowledged as one of the most influential Latinos in the U.S. by Univision.
This program is part of the 2022/23 McIver series in partnership with Equal Justice Needham for Families. The Series is named in honor of Vivian McIver, longtime director of the library. All presentations are free and accessible to the public.
