Needham Public Health to Host AED Walk-in Training
Needham Public Health (NPH) is hosting a walk-in training for automated external defibrillators (AEDs) on Saturday, June 8th from 1-3 pm in the Community Room of the Needham Public Library. An AED is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm. Learn how to use an AED at this training and spend as much or as little time as you want to. No registration required.
