Virtual Comic Book Book Club Meeting!
Thursday, October 197:00—8:00 PMOnlineNeedham Free Public Library1139 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA, 02494
Your third Thursdays are about to get a little more interesting! Why not come join us as we meet Virtually around the Zoom screen! Get together with like-minded Comic Book and Graphic Novel lovers to discuss some interesting reads in spooky season!
Join us as we discuss Slaughterhouse-Five; or the children's crusade: A Graphic Novel Adaptation by Kurt Vonnegut, Ryan North, and Spanish artist Albert Monteys as a group!
Summary: "After becoming unstuck in time, Billy Pilgrim begins to experience all of the major moments in his life nonlinearly. One minute he's a middle-aged optometrist, the next he might find himself recuperating after surviving a plane crash, or laboring in a prisoner of war camp in Germany toward the end of World War II or luxuriating with his lover and child in a zoo on the planet Tralfamadore. In this adaptation of Vonnegut's classic antiwar novel, author North and Illustrator Monteys retain Vonnegut's playfully and compassionate voice and take full advantage of the opportunity to convey the novel's fractured narrative visually."
Books are available to request from Minuteman Network Libraries [HERE] with a valid library card.
