We love Jane Austen-esque adaptations and, if you haven’t read those by Sonali Dev, you are in for a treat! Join us for this conversation between Sonali and Bridget Eileen Madden, who is a true Austen Aficionado! They’ll be chatting about how Austen books inspired Sonali, the similarities and differences between the books, as well as any hidden “Easter Eggs” that only a Jane Austen fan would pick up on!

USA Today bestselling author Sonali Dev writes Bollywood-style love stories that explore universal issues. Her novels have been named Best Books of the Year by Library Journal, NPR, the Washington Post, and Kirkus. She has won numerous accolades, including the American Library Association’s award for best romance, the RT Reviewer Choice Award for best contemporary romance, multiple RT Seals of Excellence, has been a RITA® finalist, and has been listed for the Dublin Literary Award. Shelf Awareness calls her “Not only one of the best but one of the bravest romance novelists working today.”

It’s also a book birthday! Sonali’s latest adaptation, The Emma Project has just come out and we’re celebrating! Bring your tea and crumpets to join the conversation (or whatever puts you in a celebratory mood!).

This program is available to our Library courtesy of the the Friends of the Ashland Public Library and is brought to Ashland in partnership with the MassBay Community College, and many other Massachusetts Public Libraries, including the Needham Free Public Library.
