The 2022 midterms are over and there was much talk about theimpacts of gerrymandering and dark money on the election process and results.Join Prof. Rachael V. Cobb in discussing these issues that have plagued ushistorically but especially in the last few years.

Rachael V. Cobb, Ph.D. is Chair and Associate Professor ofGovernment at Suffolk University. Cobb specializes in U.S. elections, electionadministration, electoral politics, civic engagement, and politicalparticipation.

Professor Cobb established the University Pollworkers Project,a nonpartisan program designed to recruit college students as poll workers as aresponse to reports of an estimated shortage of 500,000 poll workersnationwide. Since 2006, more than 1,000 students from the Greater Boston areahave received training and worked as poll workers.

Her work as appeared in the Quarterly Journal of PoliticalScience and Studies in American Political Development. Professor Cobb serves onthe board of MassVOTE and the Boston Election Advisory Committee. She receivedher Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her AB from BrynMawr College.
